Me - In Madhav's words....

The world is changing, women are reckoned for top positions and they are considered as a Resolute , Ambitious lot. An example of that is my little :) sister. She's Assertive, Outspoken, Commendable, Intelligent...hmmm... to put it in one word a Stalwart.

For the relationship we share, I could'nt have asked for anything better. We share so many things happening in our lives to each other, that we are more often like friends. There have been many occassions where I have thought...Ah... this is why I need someone like this. Help, encouragement, support, company, enthusiasm, name it and you have it. I definitely am lucky to have a sister like this.

This is what Dhanush has to say about me....

So I thought wht would I tell someone abt Laks and these 2 things popped up top on the list. She was always a scary child who cud wake up the whole neighborhood when she starts to cry, no wonder we named her “generator” (also coz of the unique rhythmic crying). The folk dancer’s guild loved her, else why wud someone passing by take a moment to praise her dance (Sorry Laks, I had to put tht). Remember her as a kid getting us into trouble often and then Bam!!! The next thing I know is tht Laki has become a very cool, amicable, considerate, playful, mature when ought to be, very open and one hell of a nice person. Passionate abt wht she does and U could see the juvenile enthusiasm in her face when she is listening to you talk abt her interests. A trustworthy friend who wud give sincere opinions. I believe she has a great deal of leadership qualities. Lately turning out to be a great cook (too bad, I got to taste only a bit). She is a great talker and there would never be a dull moment and I can vouch for that.

What does Sara Mathew have to say about me?

oki folks ....now lax has been my pal all thru ug and pg and ( and followed me all along to mY pg hostel too ...!!!! ) ...i've had some of the most amazing times with her ....she happens to be this disciplined and very organized THING .... dat she cud blow ur top off if u fiddle with her things ( especially her drawer and her pencil box.. )....but all thru the last 6 years she's been like a shadow to me ( sometimes a terror filled one - a BIG BULLY ) ...and otherwise a nice fun filled chilled out companion ...u cud chat abt any topic in the world and she wud be so interesting to speak to ...lax is a human computer with a photographic memeory and her teaching skills are really stunning especially weN u walk upto her just b4 exams .... she's also an amazing story teller ..i love the way she converts thick boring novels ( if i were to read them )..into such dramatic interesting stories .. she's a great dancer and great HIBERNATER too .. while most of the students try acting as if they r listening to lecturers ..OUR DAME gives away no such efforts .... she wud jus sit in front of the lecturer and keeps her eyes SHUT TIGHT ( amazing talent !!! )..she is an extravert and wud not think twice to mingle and make good frens ... a lot of memorable times we've shared were in hostel ... being notorious together and signing apology letters every now and then ( though I took the lead ...hehhee)....she's a nice simple sweet thing ...no tantrums ...and wud never turn down anyone who looks upto her for help ( this cud be as silly as ever ...but the fact is dat .. she wud b there f u ) ...and the best thing abt her is dat ... she cud do all the shit in the world but wen she comes upto u and accepts it like small child ... all ur fuming anger wud instantly depart ..... hmmm so thers lots more to write ... but i'll stop wid dis .... and all i have to say is dat ...luckyyy ... u rockkk !!!!

Bobo & Jas - The Mega Serial

When God is bored with things or maybe feels low, he'd turn on his TV and watch his favourite serial - 'Bobo & Jas' with his friends St.Peter and other angels. He'd always shake his head slowly when he sees how he had got all the craziness in the world into a big ball (like Flubber) and split it into two smaller balls - one blue and one pink. Since he had thought that the world couldn't handle so much of craziness at the same time, he'd put one ball in North India and one in South India...and even made sure that they didn't speak the same language. What was he thinking? No one can change fate...not even God.... Yes! Bobo and Jas met, fell in love and now there is no separating them.

To make the serial more interesting, God had created parents, friends, colleagues etc. for them both. Of course our crazy Bobo had his say about the matter: "Wow, to think that till now I believed that WE existed because of our parents!!!"

Of course, like any other couple, Bobo and Jas had fights... they'd try to stay without talking to each other, they'd call each other names, they'd pull in their friends for panchayat, they'd switch off their mobiles to avoid each other, they'd sulk etc..... but during all those episodes, God would sit with his friends eating popcorn and muse, "These goons, don't they know that whatever they try, they are stuck with each other for good!!!!" And then all his friends would roll and laugh at all the silly things Bobo and Jas would do.

And then, when God has had his full of laughter and musing, he'd turn his TV off with a contented smile....There was still crazy unconditional love in the world, and that's what kept him going!!!

PS: To watch the Bobo & Jas mega serial, you'll have to be God! ;)

Come back to Planet Earth, Laki!

I'm in a point in life when everything seems to be going wrong. Friends, family, relationships.... I feel my world is blue and I'm not even able to sing a song in my mind. There was a time, a month ago to be exact, when I thought everything was perfect and my life couldn't be any better. And here I am, wondering what went wrong where.

10 years ago when we had bought our Lancer, it was our first fancy car, after a line of Fiat Padminis and Ambassadors. And we felt that we owned 'THE' best car in the galaxy, that the car was the most powerful and nothing could wrong. And in the first three days, on our first trip in the car, like the Titanic, we got hit. And that brought us back to Earth....we realised that it was just a car. And however powerful it was, if we were careless, it was bound to get hit and damaged.

And I guess that is exactly what has happened now. I was thinking that life was just perfect. And that it couldn't get better. But now, I've realised that however good life is, however great a relationship is, you have to work on it to make it last. And if you neglect people, how ever great they are, they are bound to get hurt and damaged.

I am thankful that whatever has happened now, happened now. If it had happened at a later date, it may not have been repairable. They say that you realise the value of things only when it slips out of your hand... I've experienced it, first hand. And I'm going to try everything in my power, to not let it happen. I'm back on Planet Earth!
